Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located on Via Paolo Veronese in the heart of Rome, La Mucca Pazza is a vibrant culinary gem that perfectly captures the essence of authentic Italian dining. This charming chophouse and pizza restaurant offers a rich tapestry of traditional flavors, from the delicate creaminess of Spaghetti Carbonara to the indulgent melt of Pizza Quattro Formaggi. Every dish on their extensive menu, featuring pasta, fresh gnocchi, supli, amatriciana, and hearty meat selections, is crafted to delight the senses with bold, fresh ingredients and expertly balanced seasoning.

What truly makes dining at La Mucca Pazza a memorable experience is its inviting atmosphere—a harmonious blend of warm Italian hospitality and casual elegance. Guests often highlight the attentive staff who add an unmistakable personal touch, making each visit feel like a special occasion. Whether you’re seated indoors, enveloped in cozy rustic charm, or outside enjoying the gentle Roman breeze, the environment encourages relaxation and conviviality. While the outdoor area may occasionally invite the presence of a few mosquitoes, the overall ambiance remains a perfect compliment to the flavorful fare.

From the moment you step through the door, the tantalizing aromas of freshly baked pizzas and simmering sauces beckon you to indulge. The crusts are golden and satisfyingly crisp, the pasta dishes robust and deeply comforting, and the salads refreshingly vibrant—each plate reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to authentic, affordable, and fast Italian cuisine. La Mucca Pazza is a great option to those who are looking for something cheap, fast and delicious. The waiters are kind, different from a lot of restaurants my wife and I went. They have many options: pasta, pizza, salads, meat.. Also, is in front the hotel we are hosted (Barcelo Aran Mantegna)

What a great spot to eat, relax and unwind in Rome, especially after a really terrible start to a trip. The food, service and atmosphere were perfect for the mood. Fun, welcoming and still felt “local” enough to immerse yourself in what Rome has to offer with food and culture. We had a wonderful meal, conversation with our hosts and the owner.

My flight crew was staying across the street at the Precise House Mantegna and were thrilled to find a close option with terrific food. In three visits over our week stay, we tried pizza, fresh gnocchi (that my copilot talked about for days), carbonara, suppli, amatriciana and several other dishes. Everything was fabulous. Staff was very helpful and friendly. English menus accessible by QR scan on your phone. A+

A good restaurant in area. Cheap, delicious, friendly staff. Located near Hotel Barcelo, you can walk to there in 5 minutes. The portion was large. There are indoor and outdoor area. There were mosquitoes at the outdoor area. True Italian cuisines, I enjoyed the food here. I had Spaghetti Carbonara and Pizza Quattro Formaggi, they were superb.

Enjoyed a lovely, quick lunch here during a conference in the hotel across the street. Pizza, pasta and salads are all very good. Salads are custom made by the servers.

Great wine selection, food and service. We had dinner here 4 times during our stay in Barceló Hotel. Meat, pasta, pizza, whatever you order the food is excellent and the staff very friendly. We also loved the Tiramisu and that cake with Riccota and a great capuchino.

Great service and delicious food. I visited Itlay with some friends and we were delighted every time we ate here. Manual always had excellent recommendations. I love the salads and pasta, but my favorite pizza is the Diavola. It's a small place but worth it to try!!!
